I present to you the Mercury Bobcat. That’s one cool Pinto, check out those seats.

There is an older guy in my town that dailys a gold Bobcat in the summer.

Saw a pinto at a car show in the same color scheme. The interior was blinding.

This guy works next door to me. A couple of times a week our lot is pretty Jalop. There’s even a Suzuki Samurai and an old Montero that show up every once in a while. And always at least two panthers.

Oh man. That orange plaid interior is the bomb. I had a white Bobcat Villager wagon with the simulated wood for a while. Pretty unrefined cars, but I’m not sure if there ever was a compact car with that much storage space. It was a real station wagon.

God that is awesome.

It was magnificent. I think it had, like, 40,000 original miles. As close to mint as you’d find one, I think. I got it real cheap, drove it for a few months, and then sold it at a decent profit to a Pinto enthusiast who was pretty enthused. Who knew you could flip a Mercury Bobcat?

Considering the fuel tank issues, you’re better off with them.

And this was probably the clearest evidence yet that Ford had completely abandoned any and all serious upscale pretensions for Mercury.

Hmm, good point. Would rather habe ginormous bumpers than fiery death.

I don’t know how much good they did, considering the flimsy body structure, but they didn’t hurt.
